Android Marshmallow update for T-Mobile Tab S2 enters testing phase

T-Mobile could soon be releasing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for its Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 users, as the said 6.0.1 update just hit the carrier’s certification process.

The release could take a further week or two until it becomes available as an OTA, but it’s surely not far now. Though, T-Mobile’s Tab S2 is the one of the last among its kin to join the Marshmallow party, as other Tab S2 sets all over the world are already running the update — mostly since within last two months.

We’ve already seen US Cellular, Verizon and Sprint Tab S2 score the 6.0 update, while international variants are ahead of the T-Mobile variant too. It’s not like T-Mobile is all lethargic when it comes to update — it has history of being first to major Android updates among US carriers — but it’s surprising that its Tab S2 is the one of the last one in the US for Marshmallow update.

We would urge T-Mobile Tab S2 users to keep an eye for the OTA update notification, and install any pre-Marshmallow updates available. Likewise, we’re looking for the firmware, and when we find it, will update our firmware page linked below to get you Odin TAR, that allows you to manually update the device.
