OnePlus is one of the better OEMs when it comes to quick updates to the latest version of Android. The OnePlus 6 was one of the first devices to be updated to Android 9 Pie and since then OnePlus 5 and 5T users have been waiting patiently for OnePlus to roll out the Open beta builds with Android 9 Pie for their devices.

Finally, OnePlus has announced the Open beta 22 for the OnePlus 5 and Open beta 20 for the OnePlus 5T which is now based on Android 9 Pie, topped with the company’s OxygenOS 9.0. The update includes all the major Android 9 Pie features, however, it’s worth noting that it seems the navigation gestures would only be available for the OnePlus 5T and not the OnePlus 5.
