Juho Sarvikas today has shared some important news for Nokia 8 users via his Twitter account.
The HMD executive writes that the software team has been working hard on preparing the Android Pie update for the Nokia 8. However, there are still some issues that need to be tackled before the update can go live.
Sarvikas ends his Tweet by saying that the final adjustments will take only a couple of more days to make. So if everything goes well, the Android Pie update for the Nokia 8 could start rolling out soon.
When this happens, the Nokia 8 will become the fifth HDM phone to receive the latest version of Android. The company just started disseminating the new build for the Nokia 7.1 a few days ago. Before that, HDM had given the Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus the Pie treatment.
The Nokia 8 was announced in September 2017 and was already upgraded from Android 7.1.1 Nougat to Android 8.1 Oreo. Soon the phone will receive its second major software update.
