The main-map pockets are broad habitat areas, not exact coordinate pins. Early rarity estimates put them around 1%, so use that number as a rough rarity cue rather than a precise spawn rate.

The World Tree biome is the recommended Dupin farm because it is the only area where Dupin appears commonly. If you are trying to catch one quickly, spending time there beats sweeping the older Palpagos landmass.
Farm Dupin at World Tree first; use the main-map pockets only as extra checks while you are already passing through those regions.
Rare main-map Dupin spawns
Dupin can appear on the main Palpagos map in several separated pockets: one central area, one eastern/right-side area, one northern area, one western/left-side area, and a few southern-biome spots.
These are poor farming choices compared with World Tree. It is normal to pass through a rare pocket and never see Dupin, so do not anchor your capture route around the main map unless you are already exploring those regions for other reasons.
