The Blade V8 began its journey through a crowd funded campaign. The campaign soon gained traction through the support of the masses and now ZTE is set to reveal the smartphone at CES 2017.
The back of the smartphone features the futuristic looking dual camera setup. There’s an almost timeless aura about the device, right from the sleek profile to the lettering around the front camera.
The main camera on ZTE Blade V8 features a 13MP lens along with an assistive 2MP lens. This isn’t the usual arrangement when it comes to dual camera setups, with the secondary camera featuring a higher megapixel count. The secondary camera serves to include more depth to the pictures taken, even after the picture is taken.
This setup also enables the user to take stereoscopic 3D pictures. This isn’t to be confused with the Stereoscopic lenses which are found on microscopes to enable the viewer to have a 3D view. In this case the user would have to use a VR headset to view the 3D pictures.
The front camera is no slouch either and features a 13MP shooter. Inside, the Blade V8 packs octa-core Snapdragon 435 clocked at 1.4GHz, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The Blade V8 will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with ZTE’s own MiFlavor UI running atop of it.
ZTE may also be working on another smartphone going by the model name of T21.
