We have just spotted the ZTE’s latest offering in ZUK Edge hit the GFXbench with Android 7.0 on-board, and that’s our signal at the update becoming available for testing at ZTE quarters.
GFXbench has been a cool source of breaking out info about upcoming Nougat updates for many devices, and given the earlier rollouts, it seems we could see ZTE release the ZUK Edge Nougat update within maximum a month from now.
Although, there is no guarantee of it, if you look at how badly the whole Axon 7 Nougat update has gone. ZTE Mod was able to give us a glimpse of their custom skin-laden Nougat update on Axon 7 back in October 2016 (more than 3 months ago) but we’re yet to see Axon 7 receive the ZTE Nougat update — even worse, the company recently announced that Android 7.0 update is to be expected only in February, because it’s not as polished yet as they would have wanted.
ZTE is in the midst of releasing many budget level devices: Blade V8 Lite, BA602, Blade A520, N9136, and even ZTE smartwatch based on Android Wear.
