ZTE is rolling out a new OTA update to Axon 7 which installs the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS on the device. ZTE Axon 7, which was launched with Android Marshmallow pre-installed, was bumped to Android 7.0 Nougat last month which brought along support for Google Daydream VR set.

Now the new Android 7.1.1 Nougat which is being seeded brings further improvements to ZTE Axon 7. The update is now live and available for download which can be done by heading to Settings > About Device > System Updates.

The updated version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat brings with it several new features which includes Wi-Fi Calling support for T-Mobile, and an update and optimization to Daydream VR. Further, Axon 7 users with Android 7.1.1 Nougat can now use a wider range of gender-equal emojis.

Apart from all the new Nougat features, users will also get the February security patch installed on their device as well as several performance improvements and bug fixes.
