ZTE’s upcoming smartphone Nubia Z17, the premium version of ZTE Nubia Z17 Mini, is under the rumor radar once again. A new leak has surfaced showing the first live images of the phone which reveal the dual camera set-up, akin to its predecessor as well as the rear fingerprint scanner.
The leak, coming out of China’s microblogging site Weibo also reveals a couple of specifications of the phone which clearly are an upgrade over its mini version. As per the leak, the upcoming ZTE Nubia Z17 will feature a 5.5-inch display which should be FHD and protected by a Gorilla Glass, we believe.

While Nubia Z17 Mini carries 4GB or 6GB RAM, ZTE has upgraded it to a whopping 8GB with 128GB internal storage (UFS 2.0) in the premium model. The dual cameras on the rear are of 23MP+12MP resolution which should give rocking pictures while upfront we will find a 16MP selfie snapper. The phone will also be equipped with Qualcomm Fast Charge 3.0 feature.
ZTE is taking a great leap in Nubia Z17 from Nubia Z17 Mini in terms of software and SoC, as per a past Geekbench listing. We will see Android 7.1.1 Nougat and Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor clocked at 1.90GHz on board the new ZTE phone.
Now, with all the above listed specifications, ZTE Nubia Z17 will emerge as a tough competitor in the mid-range section.
