The Blade V8 Mini from ZTE was announced at MWC way back in February this year. The device has now cleared FCC and is on its way to hit the shelves very soon. We’ve already got a handle on the specs that the Blade V8 Mini packs in and they tell us that the smartphone is aimed at the budget market.
The Blade V8 Mini features a Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. Storage is also expandable via microSD. The device also features a 5-inch 720p IPS display along with a 2800mAh battery to keep the pixels running.
Even though the device sports a specsheet fit for a lower end device, ZTE has packed in dual cameras consisting of 13MP and 2MP lenses. The latter camera will add depth information to pictures taken, though it is a far cry from the performance of higher end dual lens shooters. The Blade V8 Mini also has a 5MP selfie camera.

We don’t have any official word on the pricing yet, but it should retail competitively with its sibling, the Nubia N1 Lite, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 and other similar devices. To top it off, the OEM will be shipping the Blade V8 Mini with Android 7.0 Nougat on board. Kudos to ZTE on that one.
