The Android 7.0 Nougat update for the ZTE Axon 7 is now rolling out. The Axon 7 has been part of the Nougat beta program that first kicked off in December last year in the U.S. And last month, the program kicked off in Germany.
Now, the official Nougat update is live and available as an OTA download. The software version is A2017UV1.1.0B15 and the file size is about 1.81GB. As per the change-log, this is the Android Nougat 7.0. We already knew that the Axon 7 will be Daydream-ready and that has been confirmed with the change-log.
Apart from all the new Nougat features baked into the MiFavor 4.0 ROM, users will also get the December security patch installed on their device. The camera gets a new RAW format mode in manual mode and the Auto-focus has been enhanced. ZTE has also included the Hiya caller ID app, several performance improvements and overall enhancements.
Before you download and install the update, make sure you take a full backup. It is also recommended that your phone have more than 50 percent battery charge and is connected to a stable WiFi network. After the update is finished installing, you will need to restart the smartphone manually.
