The Micromax subsidiary Yu has taken the wraps off the Yuphoria smartphone at an event today in Delhi. The Yu Yuphoria is priced at Rs 6,999 and it will be exclusively sold via online retailer Amazon through the flash sale model. The first sale of the device is slated to happen on May 28 and the registrations for the same will begin from today.

As tipped by the video teasers, the Yu Yuphoria will come with a full metallic design with premium build quality and stereo like audio output. The smartphone boasts of a 5 inch IPS display with a HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device is energized by a 64 bit 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 410 processor teamed up with 2 GB of RAM and Adreno 306 graphics unit respectively.

The Yu Yuphoria bundles 16 GB of native storage capacity and it runs on Android Lollipop based Cyanogen OS 12. the device has an 8 MP main snapper with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and FHD 1080p video recording. Up front, there is a 5 MP front facing selfie snapper onboard with 86 degree wide angle lens and f/2.0 aperture.

The Yu Yuphoria is fueled by a 2,230 mAh battery with the quick charging technology that is claimed to charge the device up to 65 percent in just 45 minutes. The device includes connectivity aspects such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual SIM functionality and 4G LTE. It has been launched in buffed steel and champagne gold color options. It includes the Cirrus Logic Wolfson Stereo DAC chipset for an outstanding audio experience.
