Love customizing your Android device in weekends? We’ve got some exciting news for you: The Xposed framework is now available for Marshmallow. If you’re holding a new Nexus 6P or 5X, or have updated your device to Marshmallow via CM13, you now have Xposed available.

We have shared the Marshmallow Xposed and files below, along with a guide on how to install it. Installation of Xposed on Marshmallow is same as it was on Lollipop, but for the sake of it, we’ve included a guide below.

Marshmallow isn’t very popular at the moment, which is obvious. But those Nexus 5X and 6P buyers, or those who updated their Nexus 5, 6, 9, 7 (2013) to Marshmallow, must be missing the Xposed framework and its modules’ customization. There wish comes true today.

Xposed is a great way to change looks, and get new features on your device. Its modules make life easy a lot, kind of a life saver in many cases.

Xposed is one of the main reasons, if not only, why you’d root your device on Marshmallow. So, it’s good to have it, period.

NOTE: FYI, SDK23 is Marshmallow, while SDK22 and SDK21 are Lollipop Android 5.0 and 5.1.

How to install Xposed Framework

Step 0. Make sure that your device is rooted, and have a custom recovery like TWRP installed. Otherwise you cannot install Xposed on your Marshmallow device.

Step 1. Find out your device’s architecture. It’s important! Use Droid Info app to know about this. Choose the file based on your device’s architecture. Keep not of Android version your device is running, and download the file based on that and its architecture from above.

Step 2. Download the file, and transfer it to your device.

Step 3. Reboot into recovery mode of your device to access TWRP or whatever custom recovery you have installed.

Step 4. Install the file of Xposed framework using the Install menu of recovery.

Step 5. Reboot from recovery now.

Step 6. Download the file from above, transfer it to device, and install the APK. The app will be installed.

Step 7. Open the Xposed app on your device, and enable the Xposed framework from settings.
