Samsung has released Android 7.0 Nougat beta firmware to select users who signed up for the Galaxy Beta Program to let users test drive the latest and greatest version of Android on their Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices.

And of course, the Nougat beta firmware is also available for download via unofficial sources for anyone with a S7 and S7 Edge device in hand to enjoy the update before anyone else does.

However, if you’re someone like us, you should know that Xposed isn’t yet compatible with Android 7.0 Nougat. We’ve been keeping a track of updates from rovo59, the maintainer of Xposed framework, regarding the development status of Xposed for Nougat. And so far, there have been no official or unofficial releases of Xposed that are compatible with Nougat.

Hence, if you’re thinking of updating your Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge to Nougat and expecting Xposed framework to work with it, then don’t bother. Xposed isn’t compatible with Nougat yet.

We’ll be sure to update this post when rovo59 and Wanam has an updated build of Xposed framework ready for Samsung devices running on Nougat. Stay tuned..
