After rolling out the Android 9 Pie update for Xperia XZ2, Sony revealed that the same update will be made available for users of the Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact towards the end of last month, but as we all know, this didn’t materialize.

That small delay isn’t strange when it comes to software updates, though, but Sony has now started seeding the Pie update for the said devices, folks at Xperia Blog can confirm. The update is coming in as version 47.2.A.0.306 and besides Pie, you also get a new security patch for the month of October 2018.

Sony had revealed that Pie would arrive on the Xperia XZ2 Premium on November 7th, but with the OS only arriving on the Xperia XZ Premium and XZ1 handsets two weeks late, we could see another one or two-week delay in releasing the update for the 2018 Premium model.
