Last month, India based Xolo announced its first Chromebook. Now, the device is up for sale via the e-commerce portal Snapdeal for a price of Rs 12,999 (approx. $204). This device is a result of Google’s intention to expand the presence of Chromebooks in India.
To refresh on the specifications, the Chromebook boasts of a 11.6 inch display with a screen resolution of 1366×768 pixels. The device is equipped with a quad core Rockchip 3288 processor ticking at 1.8 GHz clock speed. This processor is teamed up with 2 GB of RAM and Mali 760 graphics unit.
The storage aspects of the Xolo Chromebook include 16 GB of native storage space that can be expanded further using a micro SD card slot. There is a 1 MP HD webcam onboard the Chromebook.
The connectivity features of the device include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 2.0 ports, SD card reader and HDMI out port. Xolo claims that the 4,200 mAh battery in the Chromebook is capable of rendering a ten hour battery life.
Talking of the freebies, the buyers purchasing this Chromebook will get a free 32 GB SD card and 100 GB of free Google Drive cloud storage space valid for two years.
