A day ago, Xiaomi started rolling out a new update to the MIUI 10 beta channel that brought the custom software version to 8.8.9. In the changelog, Xiaomi was clear that this update’s focus was on bug fixes and optimizations, but it appears it also came with some problems of its own.

According to early adopters of the MIUI 10 8.8.9 update, they have been experiencing issues with the Dual Apps. There are those who have reported cases of Dual Apps reloading and others have reported about the apps force-closing. Some users have also experienced a black screen when using Dual Apps, things that have forced the Chinese company to suspend the update.

For those who had already made the switch to MIUI 10 8.8.9, you’ll have to live with the issues until a fix is rolled out. The company says their developers are working to find a fix, but we still don’t know when it will be rolled out, although it shouldn’t be long, especially since a good number of the affected devices already have the anti-rollback feature that prevents users from going back to an older version of MIUI.
