After an official confirmation about the August 21 release of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A, the company’s founder Lei Jun has shared some images of the affordable smartphone via his Weibo handle. Shown bathed in three hues – Grey, Pink and Gold – the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A sports a sleek and clean design.
The back of the device houses a single rear camera situated towards the top right hand corner with a LED flash beside it. The antenna lines run horizontally at the top and bottom. Sadly, the device does not sport a fingerprint scanner.

The Redmi Note 5A comes with pronounced bezels and physical home buttons in the front, which are quite acceptable for a budget device. It is rumored to sport a 5.5-inches HD display with 1280 × 720 resolution. It will be powered by quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at 1.4Ghz hooked on to 2GB RAM and 16GB in-built storage expandable upto 32GB via a microSD card.
Camera-wise, this budget device is said to rock 13MP sensor at the rear and a modest 5MP selfie shooter up front. A 3000mAh battery will keep the lights on and it will be shipped with Android 7.1.1 with MIUI 9 skin on top.
