Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime Android OS update (Nougat/Oreo/Pie)
- Not eligible for all three
- Custom ROMs available
The Redmi 4 Prime was launched with Android Marshmallow and unlike others in the Redmi 4 that made the switch to Android Nougat, this device is still stuck on Marshmallow. In fact, more than two years down the line, we don’t expect the Redmi 4 Prime to get any OS upgrade, be it Android Pie, Oreo or even the oldest of them all, Android Nougat, but all is not lost.
A quick look on the XDA developers website and you won’t be short of Nougat and Oreo-based ROMs for your Redmi 4 Prime, so be sure to check out the website if you really want to get past Marshmallow.
