Xiaomi is the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world and it has always entertained us by bringing something new into the market. In the year 2014, Xiaomi Redmi 1S, one of the company’s most popular device saw huge sales. And this year, its successor Xiaomi Redmi 2 was launched in China back in January. Sometime back, we had informed that the Chinese manufacturer would be launching the smartphone in India later this year. Well, looks like the time has almost come!

After the successful launch of the phone in Taiwan last month, the company is all set to release the smartphone in India later this month. The company has held this fun contest on its social networking page which contains a puzzle. Here, you will have a chance to win passes for the phone. All you have to do is spot out three key features of the phone! The puzzle contains words like ‘matte’, ‘Cortex’, ‘Snapdragon’, ‘Wide angle’, ‘Quick charge’ and ‘expandable’.

As for the features of the device, it runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and is powered by Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410. The phone is backed by a 2200mAh battery and has an 8MP rear camera with a 2MP front shooter. The Redmi 2 sports a 4.7 inch screen with a 720 x 1280 resolution. Also, the phone has 8GB of internal memory and is equipped with 1GB of RAM. It is worth noting that the enhanced version in China has 16GB of internal memory and packs 2GB of RAM.

Since the contest ends on March 11th, we can expect the phone to be out in a few weeks from then.
