Earlier this month, we reported that Xiaomi might launch a youth edition of its recently launched flagship device, Mi6. The youth edition was expected to feature Snapdragon 660 processor. However, Xiaomi CEO declined the reports regarding the youth variant.

Fast forward to this day, a new variant of Xiaomi Mi6 has surfaced on GFXBench. The new device that goes by the moniker Xiaomi Mi6C or Jason, features the same Snapdragon 660 processor, which was expected to come on Youth variant. So is Mi6C the youth variant? Well, only time will tell.

Anyway, talking about the specs of the Mi6C, the device is similar to the Mi6 but with Snapdragon 660 processor in place of premium, high-end Snapdragon 835 processor. The phone sports a 5.1-inch Full High Definition display and is powered by 6GB RAM and 64GB internal memory, similar to Mi6.

Further, the Mi6C comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and runs on EMUI 8.0. Plus, there is a 12MP rear camera that is part of the device. However, the secondary camera on Mi6C doesn’t match the Mi6, but we think it’s being wrongly reported in the Mi6C listing as it can’t be that inferior. So, although the listing reveals an inferior 3MP camera, we think the one inside Mi6, an 8MP camera, would find its place inside Mi6c too.
