Xiaomi is all set to unveil the new Mi Mix 2 smartphone on September 11th. The same has been officially confirmed by the company and there is already a lot of hype surrounding this Mi Mix 2. However, now, adding on to the existing hype, the company’s CEO Lei Jun has teased the phone yet again.
As you can see from the image which is embedded above, Lei Jun has shared what appears to be the box containing the upcoming Mi Mix 2 smartphone. This particular was posted by him on Weibo, which is a Chinese micro-blogging site. However, apart from that, he didn’t share any other info about the Mi Mix 2. Also, there is a noticeable Mi 6 watermark as well, indicating that the picture was taken from the Xiaomi Mi 6.
It is worth noting that the box for the Mi Mix 2 looks significantly different than the one which was used for the original Mi Mix. In any case, we will learn more about this very soon as the launch event is scheduled to happen in about a week’s time. Stay tuned for more info.
In case you needed a refresher, Mi Mix 2 is expected to pack in a 6.4-inch dual-curved display, 6/8GB RAM, 128/256GB internal storage, dual-camera at back (probably the one we find on mi 6), better Audi, etc. stuff.
The Mi Mix 2 should be launched with Android 7.1.1 pre-installed, in and as MIUI9. In case you’re wondering whether Xiaomi could surprise us all and launch Mi Mix 2 with Android 8.0 Oreo update, like Sony plans to do with Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact, well, we would advise you to not have high hopes when it comes to software and Xiaomi.
