The Xiaomi Mi Max is receiving its first official CyanogenMod ROM as the CM14.1 nightly releases for the device.
The Chinese manufacturer will be releasing the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the device with MIUI 8, but it might take really long for it get the update officially. Moreover, Mi Max users will get the update in MIUI flavor only meaning you won’t ever see the beauty of Android 7.12 the way Google designed it with Xiaomi’s official Nougat update.
Thanks to the folks at CyanogenMod, you can now enjoy stock Android 7.1 with CM14.1 on your Xiaomi Mi Mix.

This is an official release of CM14.1 for Xiaomi Mi Mix. However, this is a nightly release and doesn’t have all of the CyanogenMod specific functions like CM Theme Manager working yet. You might have to wait a bit more if these functions are important for you.
