We told you at the end of December last year that Xiaomi would be releasing the Nougat update for the Mi Max and the Mi Max Pro soon. Well, the soon is now, as the Android 7.0 Nougat update is now available for these devices as an official developer preview ROM.
Users of Xiaomi Mi Max and the Mi Max Prime (Pro) can now download the Nougat update via the download link at the end of this post. It should be flashed manually via the recovery on your device. This is a Developer ROM, so make sure you know what you’re doing as there will be bugs and other issues.
Recently, the Xiaomi Mi Mix was also spotted running Android Nougat on GeekBench. The Mi Mix is supposed to be the second device to get the Nougat update. And it looks like it might get the update very soon.

You can flash the developer ROM using either the stock recovery or a custom one like TWRP. Also, you might have to factory reset your device if the ROM fails to boot.
