Notably, Android 7.0 Nougat beta update does not come as a full proof package as few things are amiss such as Dolby Digital 5.1 passthrough, HDR support in Netflix, Dolby Digital 5.1 passthrough. Even issues with HD audio in Kodi have surfaced. With so much broken links, we expect the final Nougat version to fill in the gaps.

Having said that, it does bring many new features to the Xiaomi Mi Box viz multiple Google accounts support, multi-tasking, improved menu settings, picture-in-picture support. With the beta build of the Nougat, DVR function also arrives to the Live Channels app alongwith options for customizing HDMI CEC.
