In response to Apple’s new iPhone, Chinese company Xiaomi today unveiled a gorgeous new phone from the Mi 8 family. Called the Mi 8 Pro, the device features a beautiful new gradient color option and packs the latest tech.
The Mi 8 Pro is quite similar to the standard Mi 8 in the sense that it relies on the same Snapdragon 845 chipset and includes 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. The product also enjoys the services of a 6.21-inch OLED display with 2248 x 1080 resolution and a dual-camera setup on the back. This is comprised of a 12MP main sensor with f/1.8 and a secondary 12MP telephoto one with f/2.4. On the front, Xiaomi is offering an advanced 20MP selfie snapper.
But what sets the Mi 8 Pro apart from the previous iteration is the fact that it comes equipped with a pressure-sensitive in-display fingerprint sensor. Hence it has been dubbed the Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition in China. On top of that, instead of the 3D tech, users will get an IR Face Unlock on this model.
