The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is all set to host the Global Mi Phone Premiere event on April 23 in India. At the event, the firm is expected to launch several devices. Before this event, the benchmark and certification listings have received a new variant of the Xiaomi Mi 4 called Mi 4i.
The invite to the Global Mi Phone Premiere has the caption “I IS Coming”. As per the new reports, the smartphone manufacturer might announce the Mi 4i that was spotted by the China based website MyDrivers on the IDA (Infocomm Development Authority) database from Singapore. Furthermore, it was spotted on the GeekBench benchmarking database lately.
As per the benchmarking database, the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop based Xiaomi Mi 4i will make use of a 64 bit octa core Snapdragon 615 processor ticking at 1.65 GHz clock speed paired with 2 GB of RAM. This makes the Mi 4i less powerful in comparison to the Mi 4 smartphone with a 2.5 GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor teamed up with 3 GB of RAM.
The specifications of the Mi 4i as revealed by these websites make it similar to the yet to be announced Xiaomi device codenamed Ferrari that was spotted in the benchmark database lately. The benchmark listing shows that the device might arrive with a 4.9 inch Full HD 1080p display, Adreno 405 graphics unit aiding the processor, a 12 MP main snapper, a 4.8 MP front-facing selfie shooter and 16 GB of native storage space.
As of now, there is no clear information on when the Xiaomi Mi 4i will be launched or what it’s pricing will be. It is known that the CEO & Founder Lei Jun, President & Co-Founder Bin Lin, and VP Xiaomi Global Hugo Barra will be present at the upcoming global premier to be hosted by Xiaomi.
