Just a few days ago, the Xiaomi Mi 6C, what was considered to be a lower-spec’d version of the Mi6, was leaked featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, under the codename “Jason” at GFXBench.
But it seems we have a more valid name on books now — the rumor mills has churned up a rather different name this time around, as it says there that the Mi6’s low-cost variant would be called the Mi6X.
The Mi6 is one of the best budget phone with mightiest of specs, packing the current-gen best Snapdragon 835 processor with 6GB of RAM. It also features a dual camera on the back, but Xiaomi seems determined to make a cheaper Mi6, that’s also strong on performance while delivering on quality, in the firm of Mi 6X.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X is expected to have 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, 4MP front camera, 12MP rear camera, and bear a price tag of 1,999 Yuan (or $300). It could cost about 500 Yuan less than the premium Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship which costs 2,499 Yuan.
