Xiaomi has announced a couple more products for the Indian market. The chinese manufacturer choose thursday to announce the launch of a massive 16000 mAh and a smaller 5000 mAh power bank. While there already is a 5200 mAh power bank available for sale, nothing approaching the 16000 one was present.
The 16000 mAh power bank comes with two USB 2.0 and one Micro-USB port and gives an output of 5.1V/3.6A. Dimension wise, the power bank comes down to 145×60.4×22mm and weights about 350 grams.
The 5000 mAh power bank on the other hand, features one USB 2.0 port and one Micro-USB port and measures 125×69×9.9mm across while weighing 156 grams. While comparing the capabilities of the power banks, the company remarked that the 16000 mAh could charge the Redmi Note 4G — which boasts a 3100 mAh battery — 3.5 times while the 5000 mAh one would charge the same device about 1.5 times.
Both the power banks have anodised aluminium finish and deliver a conversion rate of up to 93 percent. The 16000 and 5000 mAh devices are priced at Rs. 1,399 and Rs. 699 respectively and will hit the markets starting 9th of June.
The company’s Facebook page — from where this announcement was made in the first place — also hints of a voting contest that is taking place on the company website where Users must vote for one of the two power banks, with the winner going on sale first on June 9.
The company is already selling the 5000 mAh one in various European countries via mi.com while the 16000 mAh was introduced in November last year in China where Xiaomi has recently introduced a slimmer 10000 mAh one as well.
Battle for power indeed!!
