The Redmi Note series has been one of the most successful ventures for Xiaomi. Riding high on this success, the Chinese conglomerate is all set to introduce a new member in the series – Redmi Note 5A. The company has officially confirmed that it will launch this affordable device next week, to be precise on August 21st.
The confirmation comes from Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun, who via his Weibo handle, uploaded an image revealing the launch date. Co-founder Bin Lin is also seen in the image.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A, alongwith a higher Redmi Note 5 variant, was seen stopping by TENAA just two days back, giving us hints that the device is ready to be taken to the stage. The Redmi Note 5A is rumored to feature a 5.5-inches HD display with 1280 × 720 resolution.
Under the hood, the device will pack in quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at 1.4Ghz. This will be paired with in 2GB RAM and 16GB in-built storage with capacity for expansion upto 32GB. The imaging departement will be taken care of by 13MP back camera and a modest 5MP selfie shooter while the device will draw fuel from a 3000mAh battery.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A will be shipped with Android 7.1.1 with MIUI 9 skin on top. It will be made available in 9 colors — Black, Rose Gold, Gold, White, Blue, Red, Pink, Gray, and Silver.
