It’s yet another week-end and Xiaomi users participating in the ongoing MIUI 10 beta testing program have something to smile about. As of this writing, more than 20 Xiaomi smartphones are now receiving the latest MIUI 10 global beta ROM 8.7.26 update, up from last week’s version 8.7.19.

This is beta software and as such, a lot of what it brings is about fixing issues in the previous version rather than coming in with new features. Still, we can’t rule out the latter, at least until we try out the new update or after Xiaomi outs the full changelog.

As for now, the brief changelog provided includes fixes for the issue where the fingerprint scanner won’t unlock App lock and notification font isn’t displayed properly. Specifically, users of the Redmi Note 5 Pro in India (or Redmi Note 5 in other global markets) who have been experiencing issues with the front camera and system UI can rejoice as this update is here to fix these issues.

This is an OTA update that is already rolling out to those in the beta program. Xiaomi has yet to provide download files for manual installation, but they should be available in a few days’ time.
