Nokia recently announced the brand new Nokia 7 smartphone for the Chinese market. This is a mid-range budget smartphone, and starts around $380. The phone will be only sold in China, as of now, and it’ll be available for purchase starting October 24.
The phone comes with a 5.2-inch LCD display with 1080p resolution, and it is made out of glass and aluminium. Nokia has included the Snapdragon 630 processor, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, a 16 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera, and a 3000 mAh battery. You also get NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD slot of storage expansion (up to 128GB).
As of now, the phone will ship with Android 7.1.1 Nougat on board, but Nokia has promised an upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo very soon. And since the Nokia phones run near stock Android, this is great news for the users.
Those looking to buy a Nokia branded mid-range smartphone, and are fascinated by the Bothie feature, will definitely want to get their hands on the Nokia 7. It’s well spec’d, is well priced, and looks very premium.
HMD Global, the company behind the Nokia smartphones, has already launched a trio of budget phones and a high-end device as well. The Nokia 3, 5, and 6 are the budget offerings from the company, and the Nokia 8 is the top of the line contender.
The Nokia 7 comes in between, both in terms of pricing and hardware specifications. We are not sure when the company will launch this device elsewhere. If you’re in China, you’ll be able to buy the device via several online stores.
Where to buy Nokia 7?
Now, a lot of people would be interested in buying this smartphone, including those living outside China. Hopefully, the company will soon release the device outside China, but for now, you can only get one from the Chinese mainland.
The Nokia 7 first went on sale on October 24 for ¥2,499 for the 4GB variant with 64GB of storage. The 6GB variant with 64GB of storage is ¥200 more, costing you ¥2,699. As of now, the device is only available through JD.com in China, who (unfortunately) doesn’t ship internationally. But we have good hopes that sites like Gearbest.com, Banggood.com and a few others will definitely have the device in stock and ready for worldwide shipping.
We’ll keep this post updated with latest info on Nokia 7 availability status, stay tuned..
