WhatsApp, needless to say, is the most popular messaging app across the world. How popular, some of you may ask?
Well, it’s so popular that over 1 billion customers use the app on a daily basis across the globe. The company in a blog post has shared that “one billion people around the world use WhatsApp every day to stay in touch with their family and friends.”
This is not to mention a remarkable growth if compared with last year’s numbers. For those who are not in the know, WhatsApp had announced last year that “one billion people around the world use WhatsApp every month.”

The Facebook-owned company has revealed that it currently has over 1.3 billion monthly active users with 1 billion daily active users. It further adds that over 55 billion messages are being shared every day in 60 supported languages.
The app sees over 1 billion videos and over 4.5 billion photos being shared on a daily basis according to the company’s blog post.
WhatsApp competes with the apps including Hike, Telegram, and the like, but none of them have such a huge user base. And most importantly, none of them seem to come close to it anytime soon.
