Vodafone Australia is getting all ready to roll out the much anticipated update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to the Samsung Galaxy S3, as the carrier has updated its software updates page to mention a rollout date of 26/11/2012 for the Samsung flagship.

If the Monday release date is met, Vodafone will be the first carrier in Australia to update the Galaxy S3 to Jelly Bean. The international variants of the device have received the update quite a while back in October, but it is nice to see that carriers aren’t taking as much time as they usually do to roll out one of the most important updates to Android.

Android 4.1 was released in July this year, and brings along a smoother and more responsive interface thanks to Project Butter enhancements, expandable and actionable notifications, Google Now for automatic context and situation-based information cards, faster browsing, smarter keyboard with offline voice typing, resizable widgets on the homescreen, and general performance improvements.
