The Chinese manufacturer Vivo announced the launch of the Vivo X5Pro flagship smartphone on May 13. On Sunday, the firm let out the device for sale in its homeland China for a price of 2598 Yuan (approx. $418).
At this pricing, the device definitely provides a great value for money with its impressive specifications, features and design. As of now, Vivo has not revealed any plans of launching the smartphone in the global markets.
The USP of the Vivo X5Pro is its elegant design with a 2.5D dual glass design and metal frame. The device features IRIS recognition for security purposes and the same will protect the data and applications stored in the smartphone.
The Vivo X5Pro boasts of a 5.2 inch Super AMOLED display that is pretty sharp with Full HD 1080p resolution. It is equipped with a 64 bit octa core Snapdragon 615 chipset teamed up with 2 GB of RAM.
On the imaging front, the Vivo X5Pro packs in a 13 MP main snapper with 5 element lens that is protected by a coating of Sapphire Glass. The unit is claimed to support PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) that is likely faster than that in the iPhone 6. The front facer is an 8 MP unit that can take up to 32 MP self portrait shots.
