Samsung is showing some love to Canada lately. After officially releasing the Galaxy Note 10.1 in the country today, there’s now word that the mid-range dual-core Galaxy Ace 2 will be heading to Canada as well, to be available on both Virgin Mobile and Bell.
The Galaxy Ace 2 will be sold for an amount ranging between $200 – $250 if bought outright and off-contract, and will not need a data plan to be active. That’s quite a good price for the specs the Galaxy Ace 2 sports – an 800 MHz dual-core NovaThor processor and Mali 400MP GPU, 768MB RAM, 3.8″ WVGA IPS display, 5MP camera, 4GB internal storage expandable with microSD, 1,500 mAh battery, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread (with an update to Android 4.1 directly according to Samsung Bulgaria). No top of the line specs, but enough to run Android 4.0/4.1 and a few HD games smoothly and comfortably.
Stay tuned for more info on this, including official announcements on price and availability.
