Apple Music has recently released a monthly version of Replay – a feature that gives an insight into your listening history. With this new update, Apple Music listeners can now view their music stats every month and won’t have to wait a whole year to see which way their musical habits are headed. Here’s everything you need to know about accessing it on your device.
Apple Music introduces a monthly version of Replay
In an attempt to compete with Spotify Wrapped, which came all guns blazing in 2023 with tons of exciting ways to visualize your music listening history, Apple has doubled down on its own version of musical insights, Replay, which will now provide monthly insights to your listening history. Although it’s still not anywhere near as good as Spotify Wrapped, the frequency with which users can gain insight into their listening habits sure does work in Apple Music’s favor.
How to view your monthly Apple Music Replay on your phone
- Launch the Apple Music app on your phone.
- Tap on Listen Now.
- You should see the ‘Replay’ option at the top. If you don’t find it here, scroll down to the ‘Replay Monthly’ section and tap on it.
- This will redirect you to the replay.music.apple.com website. Here, tap on Jump In. Select the month for which you want to view your listening insights.
- Scroll down to view complete insight, such as top artists, songs, albums, minutes played, etc., and tap on a category to open it.
- Tap on Share to share the image with others. If you open a category (such as Top Artists), the share option will be given in the bottom right corner.
- If you’ve gone past any milestones, you’ll find them in the ‘Milestones’ section.
- A playlist that is updated weekly with your top songs will also be shown at the bottom. Tap on it to open it in Apple Music.
How to view your monthly Apple Music Replay on your computer
Viewing your monthly Apple Music Replay experience works similarly on the PC app as well.
- Go to Listen Now and click on the Replay Monthly card.
- This will take you to the music.apple.com/us/replay website where you’ll be able to view your listening history as before.
