In February this year, Verizon had launched its own smartwatch called the Wear24. And now, we have the official date for when the watch would be available for purchase.
As per a new Press Release, the Wear 24 would be available for purchase online, and through Verizon retail stores, on May 11. The smartwatch looks similar to the LG Watch Sport, but is thinner and has a slightly larger battery.
The Wear24 will be available in three colors, and features 4G LTE from Verizon. It has a 1.39-inch AMOLED display, a Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, and a 450mAh battery. You also get NFC, WiFi, and IP67 water resistance rating. However, there’s no heart rate sensor on board, which is a disappointment.
Verizon will sell the smartwatch for $349, but if you’re new to Verizon and activate a 2-year plan with the watch, you can get it for $299. It also comes with Android Wear 2.0 out of the box.

Wow is that really a smartwatch? It looks very sleek and classy to be smart! But seriously, I love the design for this watch. It doesn’t look too ‘robotic’ or even too futuristic looking. Perfect for a dinner party at a hotel or somewhere luxury or even any occasion. I should research more about the features though but the design, I give it 8/10!
They have indeed taken a very minimalistic approach to the design and I like it too. Nothing looks overdone. 🙂
I do wonder about it feels in the hand though. The materials and the weight.
I thought of them as LG watch sport as well, but after reading the article realize that they r much more attractive with better specs and at an attractive price as well!!
Yes the sport was for fitness training and data monitoring. This seems to be a more traditional approach of the functionality doing what a watch is supposed to do along with good perks. And the AMOLED screen is a huge plus in my book
Looks very elegant and stylish lacks a few features though 😀 look more like women wear than unisex tho
