HTC 10 users started receiving Android Oreo update months ago, but users of the phone on Verizon Wireless have had to endure a long and painful wait – which is now over. The 2016 flagship phone is now getting Oreo on the largest network in the U.S. and it is rolling out over the air.
Verizon has already updated the official software update page for the HTC 10, confirming that the update is rolling out with software version 3.18.605.13 and even though it has a new OS, it disappointingly installs January 2018 security patch.
As part of Oreo, HTC 10 users will now enjoy features like picture-in-picture, more informative notifications, notification dots, and many other performance optimizations.
If you haven’t seen the notification on your phone, it’s because it just started rolling out today. It may take a few days before everyone gets the OTA notification, but you can try a manual update in Settings > About device menu.
