Verizon — The American broadband and telecommunications company — is playing host to a pretty tempting deal on its merchant website. The product on offer is none other than LG’s G Watch. While that in its own would not surprise us considering that the watch was released almost a year ago, the price tag attached with it does come as a pleasant surprise.
Yes sir, Verizon is currently offering the LG G watch for only $99 marking a price drop of almost 57% from the original cost of over 200 bucks. While the watch is certainly not the best in its class, it is a justifiable first step for those who are wishing to step into the Android Wear market without putting a considerable load on their pockets.
Spec wise, $99 net you a 1.65-inch LCD (280×280) display, Snapdragon 400 processor paired with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. There is a 400 mAh battery that according to Verizon, can see the watch through a full day on a single charge. The watch also supports voice control and is quite customizable since it uses the standard 22mm (0.86 inch) straps. Pretty good value, right?
All in all, while there certainly are plenty of better smartwatches out there, they aren’t quite anywhere near the price Verizon is offering the G watch for.
