A new software update is being seeded to Verizon Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices. The update brings along May security patch and is being rolled out over the air.
The OTA update is identified as build number G930VVRS4BQC9 for Galaxy S7 while the Galaxy S7 Edge is receiving it as build number G935VVRS4BQC9. The changelog for both the devices mention the update of installing the most up to date Android security patches. It should also tag along minor performance improvements and deal with bugs present on the previous build.
If you own a Verizon Galaxy S7, you need to be on software version G930VVRU4BQC5 to be able to install the latest security patch. On the other hand, a previous software build of G935VVRU4BQC5 is a must for Verizon Galaxy S7 Edge users to download the May security patch.

You can either wait for the OTA update to hit your device or go to Settings > About device > System updates to check for it manually. Before downloading the update, ensure that your device is at least 50 percent charged and back up your important data. Downloading the update over WiFi is recommended to save on additional data charges.
