Verizon Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus receiving update with July security patch, improved Wi-Fi calling and more

Verizon Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus are receiving a new firmware update. The update installs latest monthly security patch and brings few bug fixes.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is receiving the update as build number N920VVRU3CQF3 while the update is hitting Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus as build number G928VVRU3CQF3. The update brings July security patch. It also tags along system enhancements and regular bug fixes.

The update improves voice over Wi-Fi calls as well as fixes a Google search app issue which occurred in Easy Mode. The new software update also brings Notification for no app space.

Being rolled out over the air, the update may take a while to appear on your device. You can also check for yourself by heading to Settings > About device > System updates.

However, before hitting the download button charge your handset fully and connect it to a WiFi network to ensure seamless installation of the firmware update.
