Are you using a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 from Verizon Wireless? If so, you probably have exciting news. Well, the carrier’s Galaxy Note 4 units have started receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update with the build number N910VVRU1BOAF.
Similar to the other Samsung devices, the Android 5.0 Lollipop update that is rolled out to the Galaxy Note 4 will also add a slew of aesthetic improvements and performance related changes. The UI receives an update that will adhere to the Material Design guidelines adding some brighter hues and fluid animations.
However, there will not be too many prominent visual changes on the device as it runs an Android vanilla build, but there will be some nice enhancements in the UI. The device receives the notification interaction on the lock screen, priority notifications, Smart Lock security feature and others.
As a result of the update, Verizon is adding the Advanced Calling 1.0 feature to the Galaxy Note 4. This is a VoLTE or Voice Over LTE feature that lets you make HD voice calls, 6-way conference calls and 2-way video calls. These aspects can be configured from the Advanced Calling menu in the Settings.
Apart from the ones mentioned, there are several other enhancements brought in to the Galaxy Note 4 by the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. If you want to check for the update, you can do it manually by heading on to Settings -> About Phone -> Software Updates -> Check for updates. Anyways, it will reach your Galaxy Note 4 in a few days.
