Verizon Galaxy J7 and J3 get OTA update with July security patch and bug fixes

Samsung is seeding a new software update to a handful of devices on Verizon network. The four devices are Galaxy J7 V, Galaxy J7 V Prepaid, Galaxy J3 Eclipse and Galaxy J3 Mission which are receiving July security patch and several bug fixes.

Samsung Galaxy J3 Mission is getting the update as build number J327VPPVRU1AQF3 while the update is hitting Samsung Galaxy J3 Eclipse as build number J327VVRU1AQF3. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy J7 V Prepaid and Samsung Galaxy J7 V are receiving the update as build number J727VPPVRU1AQF3 and J727VVRU1AQF3. The update installs latest monthly security patch in all the four devices.

The changelog for Galaxy J7 V Prepaid and Galaxy J7 V shows the update fixing incorrect data usage display and Wi-Fi Settings issue. Also, fixes for Help menu in Bluetooth, Mobile Hotspot, and Data usage also arrives with the update which also adds clickable URL and phone number support for emergency alerts.

On the other hand, Galaxy J3 Mission and Galaxy J3 Eclipse gets a new version of visual Voicemail and notification for no app space with the latest software update. It also fixes Incorrect error message issue and improves voice over Wi-Fi calling.

The OTA update may take a while to appear on your device. You can also check manually by going to Settings > About device > System updates. You are required to charge your handset sufficiently and get it connected to a WiFi network before installing the update.
