Back in February, there were rumors regarding a Vaio branded smartphone that was allegedly claimed to be launched on March 12. Now, there are reports suggesting that this smartphone carries the model number VA-10J and that it has been approved by the Japanese authorities in December last year.
As it has passed the Japanese authorities, we can expect this Vaio smartphone to be made commercially available in the country. The report reveals the possible specifications of the VA-10J smartphone and these show us that it is not a top notch model.
As per the report, the Vaio branded VA-10J smartphone will be boasting a 5 inch HD 720p display and employ a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM for decent multi-tasking and performance. It will be based on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system out of the box.
The imaging aspects as revealed by the report include a 13 MP main snapper at the back of the VA-10J and a 5 MP front facing selfie shooter as well. The device is said to bundle 16 GB of native storage capacity with no word on the expandable storage support.
In addition to these details, the officials at Vaio lately showed off the retail packaging of the smartphone, but they did not divulge any details pertaining to it.
If you have forgotten, Vaio is not a Sony brand anymore. In 2014, Sony sold the brand to a Japan based investment firm and Vaio has become a standalone firm. It is likely that the VA-10J will be exclusive only to the Japanese market, but we have to wait until there are any official details regarding the same.
