A new update has been released for the Galaxy S7 users at US Cellular and Sasktel (other Canadian carriers should be receiving it soon). The update’s build for the US Cellular Galaxy S7 is G930R4TYU2APD2 while that for Sasktel Canada is G930W8VLU1APD3.

An OTA should be hitting your respective device soon, though it could take a week or two for the carriers to fully complete the rollout. Meanwhile, if you want it early, be sure to check our firmware update page linked below.

You can download the firmware, matching the exact build no. of the update, and install it all by yourself to update your device right away without waiting for the OTA update.

Having a firmware also helps you in fixing the device, when installing root or recovery or OTA goes bad.

Earlier, Samsung rolled out similar security updates for Canadian Galaxy Note 5, Sprint Note 4 and Sprint Galaxy S7.
