While the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge sets — and one certain Galaxy S5 and Note Edge — around the world are feasting on Android 5.1 updates, the old Galaxy S4 at US Cellular is now receiving the Android 5.0.1 update today. It’s Lollipop nonetheless, something you should be craving for if your device is still on Android 4.4 KitKat. Really, after all, it’s packing in the material design aesthetics, and many other cool new features.

Those using the Galaxy S4 with model no. SCH-R970 at US Cellular should be getting an OTA update notification anytime, beginning today. If you don’t get OTA notification or can’t install via OTA, simply download the full firmware available at the via link below, and manually install it on your Galaxy S4 all by yourself. For help on how to use Odin to install a firmware, check this page. This page is for Galaxy S6 Edge but the procedure is exactly same.

We don’t know much about what’s new in Android 5.0 update for US Cellular Galaxy S4 apart from the Lollipop upgrade right now, but that should be out real soon, too. Keep watching this space for more.
