Verizon has triggered the update button for a variety of devices of yesteryear — a list that includes HTC Droid DNA, HTC One Max, HTC Desire 526 and LG Enact.
The update for each of these devices fixes the Stagefright bug. There’s nothing else part of the update, so we will call it that’s that here.
It’s good to see Verizon push updates on devices that are older than 2 years now. Though small, Stagefright fix update is a pretty important one, and by no chance should you ignore it.
Verizon has already rolled out Stagefright update for its mainstream devices like Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4, LG Vista and LG G Pad, HTC One M9, HTC Desire 816, etc.
If you own either of Verizon HTC One Max, Droid DNA, Desire 526 and LG Enact, then be sure to check for an OTA update under Settings > About device > Software info > System updates.
