The LineageOS dev team recently posted a detailed blog post with plenty of exciting news and updates. While the announcement of a new director and a new Lineage Recovery may have stolen the headlines, there was also some interesting news about newly added devices on LineageOS 15.1.
Based on Android 8.1 Oreo, the latest LineageOS 15.1 update has now added a ton of devices that, of course, won’t be receiving Oreo officially. More than 15 devices have now found their way to the list of supported phones on LineageOS 15.1, as shown below:
- Zenfone 2 Laser
- Zenfone 2 Laser/Selfie
- Lenovo P2
- Moto Z2 Force
- Sony Xperia XA2
- OnePlus One
- Oppo Find 7 and 7a
- Oppo R5
- Oppo R7s
- Oppo R7 Plus
- Galaxy S5
- Galaxy S5 Active
- Xiaomi Redmi 2
- Xiaomi Mi A1
- Xiaomi Mi Mix
- Redmi Note 5 Pro

Despite all the good news, there’s also some bad news for users of the HTC One A9. Apparently, the device is no longer part of LineageOS 15.1 and while there’s no explanation behind this move, it’s likely because there’s no one around still interested in maintaining the build.
