A leaked inventory image of UK retailer Carphone Warehouse had earlier hinted the price of the LG Nexus 4 at £389, and it seems that will indeed be the price of the next Nexus smartphone when it is launched. XDA forum member adamski123 caught a glimpse of a few advertisements for the Nexus 4 at his local Carphone Warehouse store, confirming its price and specs.
This will come as a disappointment to those that were hoping that Google would go for affordable pricing on the Nexus 4, similar to the Nexus 7, but it isn’t really surprising that the Nexus 4 has been priced similar to other quad-core devices like the Samsung Galaxy S3 or the HTC One X. Something to note is that the ad for the Nexus 4 mentions the OS version as Android 4.1 instead of 4.2, though that will probably change later on.
Hang tight for more tidbits of info on the LG Nexus 4 while we wait for Google’s Android event to take place (whenever that is going to happen after the cancellation of today’s event), where the Nexus 4 is to be announced officially.
