New security patches are now rolling out to unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy A5 2016 and Galaxy A7 2016 as part of Samsung’s latest attempts to keep these old guards going strong.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy A5 2016 have now been updated to the latest version available – April 2018 – while those using the Galaxy A7 2016 will have to make do with last month’s version. Still, this doesn’t make it any less important.

The S7’s update has software version G930FXXS2DRDC and the A5 2016 is receiving software version A510MUBS4CRD1. For the Galaxy A7 2016, watch out for software version A710MUBU2CRC3. The trio’s updates are rolling out over the air, which means you may have to wait for a few days before you get the OTA notification.
